This past Saturday, Actress Elise Neal returned home to Memphis, TN. Elise was the guest speaker at the 2013 Purity P.E.A.R.L.S Debutante Cotillion . Modern Distinctive Ladies, Inc. hosted its annual Purity P.E.A.R.L.S Debutante Cotillion. 95.7’S Michael Adrian Davis was the hilarious M.C. for the occasion.
The signature event, “The P.E.A.R.L.S of Pride & Promise Cotillion Ball, promotes and cultivates purity, scholarship, elegance, and poise in middle and high school young ladies through educational, social and cultural programs in addition to training. The program culminates in a Cotillion Ball where the debutantes make their formal debut. Our mission is to inspire and empower young girls to succeed in school, avoid teen pregnancy and use their personal power to achieve their goals and dreams.
Modern Distinctive Ladies, Inc. has spent the past 25 years improving education, health and wellness for young ladies in the Memphis community. We offer a distinctive curriculum designed t o reduce sexual risk behaviors and related health problems among young ladies. MDL Inc. helps teen girls adopt lifelong attitudes and behaviors that support their health and well-being. This includes behaviors that reduce the risk for HIV, other STDs, and unintended pregnancy.
Elise also took time to take pictures and sign autographs for the young ladies and their escorts. A few of the young ladies had the pleasure of speaking with Ms. Neal one on one about their goals and ask questions.
