August Alsina is on his way back to Memphis. August was here a few months ago. He was one of Yo Gotti’s surprise guest for his celebrity birthday bash.
The crowd went crazy when August came out. He is one of the ladies favorite.
I ran into him backstage after his performance he was a sweet heart and he even took a selfie with me.
I agree he is a cutie, but he is a baby, lol. He just turned 22 last week.
He will be coming to Memphis with Usher Raymond later this year. We announced last week that Mr. Raymond was coming to town (story here).
I think this is huge for August, because Usher’s fan base will cross him into a new market.
He relocated to Atlanta in 2011 to pursue music. XM also ran into August in his home town of New Orleans during Essence Festival 2014. Check out a few pics we grabbed in the backstage media room:
