Well, it’s true that all things come for a time and a season. It is a sad day in the television world. BET announces Friday that 106 & Park will end on December 19 after 14 years. The network has decided to go another route with the delivery and execution of the popular show.
However, they vow to continue to deliver several tv specials that we have grown to know and love.
The show is currently hosted by Bow Wow and Keshia Chanté.
This is what BET had to say
“The 106 & Park brand remains strong and will continue to produce various specials throughout the year, including its annual New Year’s Eve show, 106 & Party, along with live event experiences at the BET Awards and BET Experience,” according to the press release. “In 2015, 106 & Park looks forward to continuing its reign as the hottest hangout on one of the coolest digital platforms, BET.com.”
The show is one I used to love to watch. However, with the changing of hosts and the continuing change of technology, I think they made a wise decision.
