This past weekend the Naturals in the City Hair and Wellness Expo rolled into downtown Memphis. Although, I am not a natural; I was invited to stop by and see what all the fuss was about. The event was actually very informative. So much so; that I am considering going natural. I said CONSIDERING. I am not 100% on that just yet.
The event offered workshops, natural hair care techniques, natural hair seminars, products, wellness seminars, products, and vendors. Celebrity stylist, naturalists and wellness entrepreneurs were also in attendance. The wellness part of the expo introduced consumers to natural skin foods, natural tattoos and natural health foods.
The founder of Naturals In The City Hair and Wellness Expo is Takeisha Berry-Brooks. She operates a full-service natural hair salon located in Memphis, TN. Metamorphosis Natural Hair Care Systems is an all natural hair care line devoted to the health of natural and chemically treated hair.
Takeisha is very passionate about promoting positive self-images for women and girls through her knowledge of beneficial hair care practices. She also states she created the event to raise awareness locally and nationally about natural hair and wellness movement.
