Last night, I attended the “Tony Allen Karaoke Night” at the Kroc Center. This is the 2nd year the event was held. Friend to the site, Tony Allen  teamed up with the organization to raise funds to benefit the Juvenile Intervention  and Faith-Based Follow-Up (JIFF).

It was a great family oriented event. There was lots of food, a  great variety of musical singers and GRIZZ Nations fans.  Fans of all ages came out to benefit the organization that Tony believes in. Tony was one of the (3) judges on hand to judge the karaoke acts. He also took pictures, signed autographs and performed at the event. The other (2) judges were Memphis Grizzlies television play-by-play announcer Pete Pranica and Chris Vernon of 92.9 FM ESPN Radio.

Mrs. Allen and his family was also in attendance for the event. They also took part in the fun by performing a song as well. Tony took to the stage to speak on some of his childhood challenges. Some of the issues he faces as a youth, is what lead him to get behind the organization and what they stand for.

It was a great night, lots of fun and money was raised for a good cause.

Catch the video below of Tony’s performance. Pics coming soon.
