Xclusive Memphis Spotlight – Makeda’s Cookies

For years now, me and my whole family has been hooked on Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies. Yes, hooked, I mean to the point we hide them from each other. These cookies are the best thing since the school cookies. The cookies are made with 100% pure butter. They are always fresh.

According to Makeda’s:

Makeda’s Cookies are the manufacturers and producers of the best butter cookies in the world. We guarantee freshness, the highest quality, and fantastic customer service.

Did you know how the name Makeda’s came about?

Makeda Denise Hill was born October 11, 1990 to the union of Morris and Willie Mae Hill. She departed this life on July 18, 1997 after losing her battle with Leukemia. Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies was named in her honor to keep her memory alive. In the Holy Bible Makeda was the Queen of Sheba. In Memphis, Tennessee Makeda is the Queen of Cookies.

They recently shut down the Hickory Ridge Mall location, but they promise to continue to provide you with great customer service, fresh and quality cookies. The store is located at 2370 Airways Blvd., Memphis, TN 38114.

The next time you are in the South, stop by Makeda’s and experience the butter cookie. And if you are not a fan of butter there are more flavors to soothe your taste buds.
