‘Tis the season to be jolly…Hey ya’ll I’m back with yet another edition of Fashion 411. I just LOVE this time of the year!!!!! Everyone is in such good spirits, the food, the fellowship and most of all, MY BIRTHDAY!!! That’s right….I’m Team Capricorn (we’re the best). There are so many events going on around this time of year. Christmas concerts, family gatherings and parties. This is the season for giving back and the celebration of the birth of Christ, not about gifts. Now don’t get me wrong I LOVE PRESENTS but some of you just don’t get it. A present is supposed to come from the heart not something you just throw together. So with that being said, here are some tips on how to give the perfect gift.
Giving You the Best That I Got!
As you can see I love me some Anita, any who. Anytime you are put in a position to give a gift/ present you should put SOME thought into. Will it serve a purpose? Will it enhance someone’s life or style? WOULD I WANT IT? That’s right!! Now would you want someone to give you a gift that they wouldn’t want for themselves? NOPE! I didn’t think so. So when shopping for that perfect gift for a family member, significant other, friend or your office Secret Santa keep these tips in mind.
- 1. Stay within your budget. Not all great gifts are expensive.
- 2. If you’re playing secret Santa at work, give a gift that is unisex. So no fragrance or clothing items.
- 3. Homemade goodies are always great. There’s extra time put into creating them. So they are special gifts made from the heart.
- 4. Tips. Don’t forget to tip your beautician, barber, nail tech, doorman etc. Show them you appreciate them for what they do for you all year long with a tip.
- 5. When you give a gift, include the gift receipt just in case they need to return or exchange it.
- 6. If you absolutely can’t figure out what to give someone, then a gift card or donation in their favorite charity is always great idea (For Chris, lol)!
Deck the Halls!!
I love decorating for the holidays. I live for it but I do like to mix it up a bit. I get tired of the same old thing. You know, same color scheme , décor, same old thing. Christmas locked to red and green, so why should you be. The latest color trends have spilled over into Christmas.
- 1. Espresso, violet and white (above)
- 2. Navy and silver
- 3. All gold
- 4. Teal and copper
- 5. Parchment and white
Also, don’t stop decorating at the tree. Include your mantle, stairs, door and tables. And to add a ‘lil extra fa, la, la, la, la add candles to your common area rooms and a little bit of fragrance to the air. I love Yankee Candle’s “Apple Cider” and Glade’s “Frosted Berry Kiss.”
Now that you all have a few tips to get in the holiday spirit remember the reason for the season. Stay safe……Smoochies!
