Earlier this week the Memphis Grizzlies held a press conference to officially welcome Vince Carter to the M-town.
Despite his age and length of time in the league, most fellow Grizz fans welcome him with open arms. We are all excited to see Vince suit up and deliver in the Grind House. This is the vets 17th NBA season.
The Grizzlies introduced Carter on Monday after signing him to a reported three-year, $12 million contract.
Vince is one of the newest players to suit up in Beale Street Blue. ‘Do whatever, I need to do to help this team win”; Vince stated during his brief speech.
“I just see they’re playoff-ready and just see what I bring to the table,” Carter said Monday. “I’m able to come in and hopefully get us over the hump. That’s the goal. Go as far as possible and hopefully hold up that O’Brien trophy here in Memphis. So why not make that the goal?”
Although, most of the players are away on vacation, Vince revealed he had heard from most of the guys.
In addition to the hospitality this great city has to offer; he will definitely have to check out the BBQ.
Catch the press conference here.
