The struggle is real out there. Our favorite clock man Flavor Flav is no longer a resturant owner.
TMZ reports that the rapper/reality star’s eponymous fried chicken restaurant in Sterling Heights, Michigan was evicted last week after a long-stewing battle with landlords. (Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs ‘s doors were first padlocked in June after landlords claimed Flav and his business partners owed $20,000 in back rent; the eviction was then “postponed” after restaurateurs paid one month’s rent.)
The Michigan location joins two other Flavor Flav spots in the restaurant graveyard: Flavor Flav’s Fried Chicken in Clinton, Iowa, closed after four months amidst employee lawsuits; Flavor Flav’s House of Flavor in Las Vegas lasted six months, shuttering in September 2012.
