Friend to the site Singer Ginuwine and his wife Sole are calling it quits. During a recent court hearing it was revealed that Ginuwine is alleged going through so rough financial times as a result of an ongoing divorced. The couple share a total of 9 kids.
According to the New York Daily News:
“Mr. Lumpkin is very close to declaring bankruptcy,” Ginuwine’s lawyer, Bruce Beckner, said. “He owes my firm a ton of money and a bunch of other people a ton of money. He owes Uncle Sam 300-odd thousand dollars in back income taxes.”
Reives says he is owed royalties from a $1.25 million five-album deal Ginuwine signed with Sony, and seeks as much as $250,000.
Ginuwine was in Memphis last month and appeared to be in great spirits. He gave an awesome performance for the fans.
Ginuwine later issued a statement in his wife’s defense.

I need to address yesterday’s rumor because it is not totally accurate and I don’t want my wife being made out to be the bad guy here. We are NOT yet divorced, but we ARE currently separated and working towards coming to our own agreement, without lawyers, to amicably and fairly divorce. We’ve kept it quiet because it is really no ones business but ours and our family’s. Therefore, reports that she left me “broke” are untrue. She has been a good wife and mother and my poor choices and actions over many years have lead to this. I am on a path of becoming a better man and part of that is taking responsibility for my own choices and behavior in life, so that’s what I’m doing by releasing this statement. I thank everyone who has been there for us through these trying times. You are appreciated. God bless.
Well, it appears this will not be a messy divorce, I wish them the best.
