As you all know (and for those who don’t) Homecoming is that special time when alumni/ former students all head back to “the yard” for mixers, step- shows and “the game.” Now, you can’t just show up looking any type of way….you got to look fresh, cute/ handsome and put together!! So if you’re still not sure on what to wear, ladies and gentlemen…..I GOT YOU!
Ladies:
If you’re attending the game or simply tailgating, leave the low cut tops, miniskirts and skin tight dresses and stilettos at home (or wear it later at the club).
Breakout your flat boots with those skinny jeans. If it’s cool where you are, LAYERS are everything! So double up on tops (T’s or tanks) in your sorority or school colors. Finish the look with cute accessories and minimal makeup. Remember: less is best!!
If it’s still warm where you are, then pull out that maxi dress one last time and pair it with a cute denim cropped vest or jacket. Add a hot bag and sandals and you’re ready!!
Now if you want to show more school spirit, pull out that old letterman jacket (if it still fits….lol) and pair it up with skinny jeans (or jeggings, my fav’s), a fitted white t-shirt, and some cute booties.
BTW ladies, if you’re worried about someone else have on “your outfit” (girl bye…lol), then I suggest not shopping at Aldo’s, Forever 21, Bebe, Guess, Charlotte Russe, HerShe, Macy’s etc.
Fellas:
No, I didn’t forget about ya’ll. You’re probably thinking, “What does SHE know about men’s fashion?” Well, let me tell you this, I know what we ladies like to see…follow me.
Now fellas do us a favor and keep it simple. Jeans, Polo shirts/ T’s, button down’s and nice shoes. If it’s chilly where you are then add a nice jacket to your look.
No rhinestones on your jeans (that’s zesty).
Now distressed look is okay but don’t run out. We don’t want to see your undies because you’re missing a back pocket.
Also, do us a favor….PLEASE wear shirts that fit you. If you wear a large shirt, why are you buying XXL? Not cute!!!
Anyways…..I LOVE a good smelling man (shouting). So fellas, before you leave the crib spray on a ‘lil bit (don’t bathe in it…lol) of one of these sexy fragrances:
