Get Well wishes to legend Bill Russell. The Hall of Famer collapsed during a speaking engagement in Nevada.
During his career he won 11 titles in his 13 years as a Celtic. Reports states that he is doing ok. No word if he was hospitalized following the scare.
According to NY Daily News:
Team spokesman Brian Olive says the 80-year-old Russell felt faint after the Thursday morning fall at the Hyatt Regency resort in Incline Village, Nevada, but was planning on returning home to Seattle this evening.
Witness Michael Rooney tells The Associated Press that Russell was telling a story about Wilt Chamberlain to a roomful of Konica Minolta employees when he started to sway at the podium and then fell backward.
Late last year a statue was revealed of the legend in Boston. The statue currently sits at City Hall Plaza . The design was completed by Pressley Associates Landscape Architects of Boston.
Hope Russell gets to feeling better soon.
