Just a few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Meek Mill. He shared briefly on how jail had changed him. He also vowed to never to return. He offered his support to the fellow rapper Chris Brown during his time of imprisonment. Well, things haven taken a turn.
The King of Memphis, Yo Gotti recently had Meek as one of his surprise guests for the 2014 Birthday Bash.
Meek was spotted out and about in Memphis showing love (story here).
Despite, Meek’s efforts to remain a free man; the DA office is not feeling his lifestyle.
Alledged, after changing his phone number without reporting new number, booking shows without permission and posting inappropriate picture on IG, the DA office ordered rapper Meek Mill back into custody.
Reports from 3-4 weeks to 3-*6 months have surfaced on how much time Meek will actually be away.
His upcoming project ‘Dreams Worth More Than Money’ is scheduled to drop soon.
MMG’s Rick Ross offered this statement:
I created MMG years ago, my desire was to create a space where the most talented artists in the world could be nurtured and supported. With that came a commitment. I vowed to support these artist, through the good and the bad. Every individual signed to MMG is not just an artist, they are my family. And with family you ride, or you die. Yesterday, my brother, Meek Mill ran into some unfortunate legal issues. It happens. However, his team, our team, will continue to execute Meek’s plan as close to schedule as possible. His album is coming. We ask that the fans and the media continue to support him and his music during this time. He’ll be home soon. ‘Dreams Are Worth More Than Money,’ and family is worth more than Everything. MMG FOR LIFE.
Hope Meek’s spirits are high.
