[Photos] Author Florence Anthony Makes A Stop In Memphis

Syndicated radio personality and author Florence “Flo” Anthony made a stop in Memphis, TN this past weekend. Florence was in town for a book signing at Barnes & Noble. In addition to the book signing, she was also the special guest at Radio Personality Myron May’s monthly ‘What’s Happening Myron” Book Club Meeting.

Fans, friends and supporters came out to the book signing and to downtown Memphis for the book club meeting to ask questions, purchase books and show some Memphis love to Florence.

Florence is the author of the book “Deadly Stuff Players” published by ZANE. Her new book, “Deadly Stuff Players,” was released in November and published by Strebor Books. In addition to her newly published book, you can also catch her on TV One’s series, “Life After.”

Florence is the first African-American woman to work in the sports and entertainment departments at the New York Post, Anthony is also the first African-American woman in the nation to work on the Post’s gossip page, “Page Six.”

After she left the New York Post, Anthony became the first African-American woman to write a column for a tabloid. She headed up the Eye on the Stars column in the National Examiner magazine from 1994 to 2001.

Media Personality Bev Johnson stopped by to send her blessing to Florence. We learned that they were child hood friends and had a lot of memories among the two.
