Yesterday (February 9, 2014), Mrs. Toya Wright made her way to Memphis. Toya was in town to speak at the 1st SCIAA Basketball event at The Fed Ex Forum.
The event organizers goals:
Presented by the Shelby County Interscholastic Athletic Association (SCIAA), the goal of this event is to foster a positive attitude for young boys and girls hoping to play basketball at the next level. Middle school and high school players are much more likely to keep playing productively at the next level if they’re equipped with the right mindset – SCIAA hopes to do just that with this event.
“When athletes in middle and high school programs get the ‘fever’ for the game, it awakens the madness to play at higher levels,” Dr. J.L. Perry, Manager, SCIAA.
Toya looked super cute in her jumper. I am sure she felt right at home, because her in-laws are here. Her hubby, Mickey ‘Memphitz’ Wright was born and raised right here in the city of Memphis.
On June 18, 2011, and Mickey “Memphitz” Wright were married in Atlanta,. The wedding guest list included rapper Rasheeda, Tameka Harris, Kandi, Nivea, Lauren London, Monica Brown, and Tamar Braxton-Herbert.
