Two of Tv’s most familiar faces were this years hosts of the 11th annual 365 Black Awards. Actor Terrence J. and actress Tika Sumpter were given the honor of hosting the award show.
Lots of celebrities, guests and honorees filled the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center on Saturday, July 6, 2014 for the live taping of the show. Comedian and friend to the site Jonathan Slocumb was on hand to provide comedy in between stage set ups and retakes.
Honorees include civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton; music executive Kevin Liles; film producer Will Packer; inspirational leader Iyanla Vanzant; former NFL athlete Dhani Jones and McDonald’s Owner/Operator Henry Coaxum.
Xclusive Memphis was on hand for the great production and amazing speeches.
“We are excited to recognize these outstanding individuals for their incomparable contributions to the community,” McDonald’s U.S. marketing director, Rob Jackson said in a press release. “Like our honorees, McDonald’s is committed to being deeply rooted in the communities we serve 365 days a year.”
BET Networks will broadcast the event on August 10 at 10pm EST, and on Centric on August 17 at 11pm EST.
