Queen Latifah’s Healthy Habits And Her Not So Healthy Habits

Last month, we told you how Queen Latifah struggles with her daily struggles (here if you missed it). Well, today since its a new year. We wanted to share with you her healthy habits and not so healthy habits.

But hey who are we to judge.

Healthy Habits…

1. Having REM time “A queen needs her sleep. I like to  get eight hours, like a normal person.” If she’s tired, she takes magnesium,  which she says improves her rest.

2. Clearing the air “If I’m carrying around resentment, I  need to confront the situation and say something — or let it go.”

3. Getting moving Having lost — and kept off — 25 pounds more than five years ago, she stays in motion with a treadmill, hikes, circuit exercises, weights, and yoga.

4. Cooking smart Her healthy go-to dinner: “I sauté  garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers, and squash with olive oil and  balsamic vinegar. I add that to eggs, fish, pasta, or couscous.”

…and Guilty Treats

1. Snagging a sugar fix “I don’t eat a lot of sweets;  when I do, it’s apple pie à la mode or pound cake.” Try Queen Latifah’s pound cake recipe.

2. Laughing it off “I am good to watch some cartoons  every once in a while. I will catch a Tom and  Jerry episode, Bugs  Bunny, or Yu-Gi-Oh! I still like to just let go and  be happy like a kid.”

Gotta love the Queen.
