Trina Responds After The Death Of Her Brother

Rapper Trina lost her brother, Gonk last week down in Miami. Reports surface that he was murdered by another man after an argument.

Ron Dobson, 27, faces a second-degree murder charge in the killing of the brother of famous rapper Trina, Miami-Dade Police said.

Miami-Dade Police said Tuesday night they have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the fatal shooting of the brother of the famous female rapper Trina in northwest Miami Tuesday morning.

Ron Dobson faces a second-degree murder charge, police said in an arrest affidavit. It wasn’t immediately known whether he has an attorney.

Jail records showed he was being held without bond Wednesday morning.

Residents said that the rapper’s brother WilbrentBain, who goes by the nickname “Gonk,” was shot and killed on Northwest 91st Street. Bain and the man who shot him were friends and lived around the corner from each other at Northwest 91st Street and 24th Avenue, neighbors told NBC 6.

The two men had a dispute, and the victim began to get off his bicycle when Dobson took a firearm from his waistband and shot him multiple times, the affidavit said.

After he was read his Miranda rights, Dobson confessed to his involvement in the victim’s death, the affidavit said.
