The King of Memphis, Yo Gotti was in town this past weekend. His big brother Jook celebrated his birthday with a party out in North Memphis. Rick Ross was in the building to celebrate with the CMG family.
Although Gotti, makes it no secret that he is from North Memphis; he took his talents to Kansas street in South Memphis to shoot his video for his upcoming album. I grew up in the neighborhood.
We spotted a few pics of the crew filming.
In early 2013 Gotti announced that him & his label CMG had been signed to a distribution deal with Epic Records from longtime business partner L.A. Reid.[3] The first single from his second studio album I Am is titled “Act Right” and features Young Jeezy and YG.[4]
Gotti will be kicking off his tour next month and yes, Memphis is on the list of cities. The date and venue are TBA. Stay Tuned to Xclusive Memphis for the information when it is released. If you missed the Birthday show, Yo Gotti did at The Orpheum, you missed an EPIC night!. definitely one of the best shows I have attended this year.
I Am is scheduled for release on November 19, 2013.
Oh! We forget to mention Yo Gotti had the #1 song on Bet 106 & Park this week. Lots of congrats to Yo Gotti for all his moves.
