2013 DUB Car Show Memphis Recap

The 2013 DUB Car Show made its way through down town Memphis a few weeks ago. The show brought out all the latest cars, sound systems, swanky toys, fashion (or the lack of), Memphis A-Lists, local talent and celebrities.

Friend to the site Skoolboy made his way onto the main stage. It is so exciting to watch Memphis home grown talent showcase what they love.

The homie Kia Shine also made his way to the stage. Kia always put on a great show and gives the crowd energy. He had a drummer performing on stage with him. #dope

French Montana, Rocko and Juicy J were the main acts for this year’s event. First time meeting French Montana, he was genuine and kept the crowd moving with the French antics.

Memphis is like a second home to Rocko. It is always a pleasure to see him. He can in amped and ready to move the crowd. I was excited to watch him perform live U.O.E.N.O… Rocko signed autographs post performance. When the showcase ended and Rocko still had a line. Although the show was over and they were blinking the lights; Rocko continued to interact with the crowd, take pics and sign autographs. Rocko was so pleasent and patient.

And of course, Memphis grown Juicy J took the stage to close out the show. Juicy took the crowd back to his Three 6 Mafia days, singing 90’s hits from the group. He made sure to perform some of the crowd favorites such as Bands Will Make Her Dance, while throwing lots of money into the crowd for the on lookers.

P.S. Juicy J security was massive and thick. Not sure why the guys with the bow ties flock around him so deep, but he was well protected and concealed entering and leaving the show.

Overall the show was ok. No problems, the crowd was controlled and I loved the acts.
