Yes, today is Tuesday. But with the crappy weather we had here in Memphis, my internet service was not the best on yesterday. However, I love my Motivation Monday post and I know someone out there somewhere looks forward to them.
Ok, rewind… On Sunday night , The Oscars took place and the tweets about Lupita Nyong’o flowed my timeline.
Lupita Nyong’o won the award for the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her work in 12 Years a Slave. During her acceptance speech, she spoke on the struggle and where it came from in regards to the movie that landed her the award.
“It doesn’t escape me for one moment that so much joy in my life is due to so much pain in someone else’s,” she said in reference to Patsey, the slave she portrayed in the acclaimed film, which was based on a real-life memoir.
Not only was she amazing beautiful but her speech, brought a smile to my face.
“No matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid.”
Please remember that no matter where we come from, we are all valid beings and there is an individual plan for each of our lives.
Congrats to Lupita on all her success and walking in her destiny! It’s your season.
HAPPY BELATED MONDAY – BXCLUSIVE!
