NBA player, Allen Iverson maybe retired from the NBA, but his name is continuing to make headline. (Retirement here) The former star announced that a film based on his life will be making it’s debut at the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival. The film will focus on the legacy of the former NBA star. It will highlight how he went from a childhood of crushing poverty in Hampton, Virginia to one of the sports’ greatest success stories as Iverson went on to become an 11-time NBA all star.
The already sold-out affair will take place on April 27. A.I. had this to say on Twitter:
Many have tried to tell it, none have succeeded. Catch the documentary about my real life at the TriBeCa film festival in NYC April 27
