Yes, yes, Yes! After several days of packing and several days of last minute wardrobe changes, I’m officially ready for Essence Festival 2014 (I think lol)! Every year my itinerary starts off with a few events and a few parties, and before you know it, I’m overwhelmed. Once PR companies and brands get wind that bloggers are coming to town, the email starts to fill up with invites.
I’m excited and not complaining. From pop up stores, concerts, numerous events, Convention Center activities, day parties and night parties, I will be on roller skates.
Almost every celebrity you can name will be in New Orleans. Most artists and actor/actresses are hosting in some capacity. I even spotted a flyer where MC Lyte and Solange will be dj-ing, dope right?
Well sad to say I will not make it to all the happenings, I don’t have super natural powers and there is only 24 hours in a day. I’m glad my homegirl/assistant and my photographer are tagging along.
I am looking forward to seeing Memphian K. Michelle, Nas, and Trey Songz in action tonight. Today will be the lightest of them all, everything kicks off tomorrow. There is also a meet and greet planned for Boosie, I plan to swing by!
